In the 1800s a scattering of “dune shacks” were built nestled amongst the sand dunes of Provincetown & Truro to provide shelter & supplies to shipwrecked sailors fishing the treacherous waters along Cape Cod. In the 1920s, artists worldwide would flock to the shacks to find inspiration in the solitude & natural beauty of the primitive setting for writing, music, or painting.

“Dune Shack” soap pays tribute to the simple beauty and rich history of these buildings, featuring an amazing woodsy but distinctively seaside scent with notes of bergamot, olive, pear, heliotrope, green tea, musk, amber, and sandalwood.

All of our soaps are made by hand in small batches in our Cape Cod soap studio using traditional cold process soaping methods. Each bar is approximately 5 oz. As each bar is handmade, please expect slight variations in size & color.

Handmade cold process soap will last longest if allowed to dry in between uses. We recommend using a draining soap dish for longest life.
